There may be a heat wave in Canada’s Capital, but the sounds emanating from Confederation Park in Ottawa will be cool and easy. The Ottawa Jazz Festival kicks off today with an impressive lineup of acts.
Tonight you can check out John Mayall and the Robert Cray Band, but the awesomeness doesn’t stop there! Over the next 11 days, music lovers will be able to take in hundreds of acts all across the city, from traditional jazz to bluegrass and rock and everything in between.
Other acts include Trombone Shorty, Allen Toussaint, Branford Marsalis, Daryl Hall and Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers.
Teams from MyMusic will be on site during the festival, tweeting highlights from the shows. Also check our Facebook page for video and photo updates.
